PM Modi chairs meeting with officials over cyclone-related situation in the country

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently chairing a meeting on the cyclone-related situation in the country.
Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Dr. P K Mishra, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, IMD DG Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, and NDRF DG Atul Karwal is attending the meeting.

IMD said, a low-pressure area formed over the South Andaman Sea is going to build up into a cyclonic storm named Jawad in the next 36 hours. It is likely to move northwestwards, intensify further and reach near north Andhra Pradesh-Odisha coast by Saturday morning.
