Udhampur Police arrested 04 notorious drug peddlers, contraband substance recovered

Continuing its efforts to crub the menace of drugs from the society, Udhampur Police arrested 04 notorious drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from them.

Police patrolling party of PS Udhampur headed by SHO Udhampur Insp. Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of Sh. Anwaar Ul Haq Addl. SP Udhampur and Sh. Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs. Udhampur arrested 04 drug peddlers identified as:-

Rakesh Kumar S/O Mohan Lal R/O Kambal Danga, Udhampur

Ashish Nargotra S/O Arvind Nargotra R/O W.No.10 Udhampur

Abhinandan Kahjuria S/O Davinder Kumar R/O Inder Nagar, Udhampur

Darminder Singh S/O Baldev Raj R/O Basht, Chenani

The arrested persons  who were travelling in  a Venue Car, when signaled to stop, tried to flee from the  Naka but  were captured tactfully and during thorough search 10grms of heroin was recovered from the possession of the above  04 accused persons boarding in the vehicle.

Venue Car bearing registration number *JK14G 3965* used in the commission of said crime has also been seized.

A Case FIR 486/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of case is going on.
