Entrepreneurship means getting your hands dirty and not being a boss

Shehzaada a young girl from Pulwama turned the fortunes around for herself and her family through her sheer grit and entrepreneurial spirit. She is the proud founder of Desi Milk Dairy Farm in Mitrigam in Pulwama district which she founded with the help of Umeed under National Rural Livelihood Mission.

Talking to TRN in an interview with Rohit Bhat in #TheRightConnect series she recounted all the hardships and challenges that she faced in her entrepreneurial journey especially being a woman. But she is all confident and upbeat today about the opportunities that lie on the other side of these challenges. She has seen the fortunes turn around for good for her family. She is educated only till 8th grade and used to work as a daily labourer in the apple orchards. But through her hardwork and will to change the difficult situation her family was in she managed to achieve success. She is very appreciative of the support the help schemes like Umeed provide. She feels sky is the only limit for the people with right attitude. One should be willing to work hard and get hands dirty. Those who think they can get to boss around from day one by being an entrepreneur don’t understand the right meaning of entrepreneurship.

Shehzaada symbolizes the youth of Kashmir who are forward looking and strive for a better life for themselves, their family and the society at large. She dreams of building an enterprise like Amul and provide employment to many more people.
