Congress Gen Secretary visits Maharaj Gunj Gurudwara Singh Sabha

Stating that Singh Sabha Gurdwara (Mahraj Gunj) is in shambles, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Surinder Singh Channi demanded it’s immediate renovation.

JKPCC General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi Sunday visited historical Gurdwara in Down Town area of Srinagar and expressed anguish over it’s poor condition.

Channi demanded restoration of Gurdwara and urged the Srinagar Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) to come forward to restore lost glory of the Gurdwara. He also emphasized the Govt to take effective measures to renovate the Gurdwara.

On this occasion, PCC General Secretary also interacted with local Muslim community members and appealed them to further strengthen the bonds of unity and friendship between Sikh and Muslim community.

“I would also urge the Srinagar Adm. to assess the renovation requirements concerning Gurdwara and execute the work, on war footing, basis,” he said.
