Police arrests 02 bootleggers in Bandipora, illicit liquor recovered

Acting tough against the social crimes, Police in Bandipora arrested two bootleggers and recovered 14 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.

Acting on specific information, a police party led by SHO PS Argam Insp Masood ul Hassan under the supervision of DySP PC Bandipora Shri Faizan Ali-JKPS at a checkpoint established at  Wullar Vantage Garoora Aragam intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK15A-4850 with two persons on board. They have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Beigh @Shahzad and Mohd Mustafa Beigh both residents of Guzarbal Bankoot Bandipora.  During search officers were able to recover 14 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody. Vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.

Accordingly, case FIR No. 01/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Argam and investigation into the matter has been initiated.
