Class 10th result Staff members of two schools terminated for 0% performance
Taking a serious note of the poor performance of the government school in the 10th class result, the education department on Friday ordered the immediate suspension of staff members in two institutes in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The schools include High School Wantrag Zone Mattan and High School Pohru, Kalnag.
The class 10th result was announced on Wednesday. As per the result announced by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, over 78 per cent of students had qualified for the exams. Whereas, comparing the result of government and private schools.
The private schools across the Kashmir division saw a 91.18 percent result, whereas, 67.2 per cent of students of government schools passed the exam. Further, as per the result, 70 schools in Kashmir have below 30 per cent of result. Whereas, a total of 8 government schools have zero per cent results.
Following the poor result, reports said that the education department initiated action against the government schools where the performance has not been up to the mark.
As per the reports, two separate orders have been issued by the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Anantnag. In view of their poor performance in the Annual Regular Examinations of Class 10th Session Nov-2021, the following teaching personnel of High School PohruKalnag are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect.
The teachers include one Headmaster, 8 Grade-II teachers and 2 RRT teachers. It is pertinent to mention here that in High School PohruKalnag, only one student was in class 10th, who failed in the exam.
In a separate order, the CEO Anantnag said, “Just alter the declaration of the results of class 10 Annual Regular Examination November 2021 the staff members of high School Wantrag Zone Mattan who were associated with the academics of Secondary classes including Headmaster have been placed under suspension”.
“The reasons for poor results of the school are being ascertained and the remedial measures shall be initiated in order to improve the academic performance of the school”, the order reads. In High School Wantrag, 9 out of 9 students failed in the class 10th exam.
