EPMS Portal Admin issues guidelines for Class-IV employees
The administration issued a clarification over the difficulties faced by the Class-IV employees and orderlies in facing difficulties in registration on the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Performance Monitoring System (EPMS Portal).
Last month, the Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta launched the J&K Employees Performance Monitoring (EPM) portal for assessing the monthly work of all government employees in the Union territory.
Whereas, the administration announced a detailed process regarding the operating of the Employees Performance Monitoring Portal by the government employees. Further, the downloading of SANDES Application and subsequent filing of monthly achievements/ performance on the J&K Employees Performance Monitoring System (EPMS Portal) was made mandatory for all the employees of J&K.
It was further notified that all the employees shall have to submit the requisite details on the Portal by or before the 7th of every month which shall be reviewed by their Reviewing/Controlling Officer by the 15th of every month, w.e.f March, 2022.
However, it is being noticed by the administration that Class-IV employees/orderlies are facing difficulties in registration on the portal. Taking note of the issue, a circular has been issued by Roopali Arora, Under Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department.
“It has been brought into the notice of Authorities that various Class-IV employees/orderlies are facing difficulties in registration on the Portal and subsequent filing of their details, due to various reasons. Further, various queries regarding the Reporting Officers have been received from those class IV employees/Orderlies which are posted in personal sections of officers/clerical sections of the departments”, the circular reads.
The matter has been considered and accordingly, it is hereby clarified that in the case of the Class-IV employees/Orderlies posted in personal sections of the officers in various Departments, the Heads of personal sections shall be their Reporting Officers.
For Class-IV employees/Orderlies posted in clerical Sections of the Departments, their reporting Officer shall be the concerned section Officer/Head Assistant etc., heading the section. It is further clarified that the Reporting Officers shall assist the Class-IV employees/Orderlies in registration/filing their monthly achievements on EPMS Portal, it added.
For instance; An orderly/Class-IV employee posted in the personals section of any Administrative Secretary/HoD/District Officer etc., his/her reporting personal section. An orderly/Class-IV employee posted in the clerical section of any Administrative Department/HoD/District Officer etc., their reporting Officer shall be Section Officer/Head Assistant etc., heading the concerned section. Further, for administrative convenience, the Departments may nominate any officer/official as Reporting Officer of their Class-IV employees/orderlies.
