Jagti Unit of Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj lists demands before Lt Guv
KPs appeal to LG to mitigate their problems immediately

Jammu, August 22: Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj Unit Jagti held a meeting under the chairmanship of Pintoo ji in which various problems confronted the community were discussed.
The meeting said that during last 30 years of exile the pandits faced many hardships and both state (now UT) as well as central government failed to redress and mitigate the sufferings of the KPs.
The meeting said that the time and again the problems were brought into the notice of concerned authorities but nothing has been done till date and no concrete policy was adopted to settle them.
The community feels alienated due to the step motherly treatment of the govt and the only reason is that the community is not the vote bank.
The meeting appealed the Hon’ble LG Sh Manoj Sinha to consider the following problems and issues on priority
1.Though Jagti Hospital has been given the status of Sub District Hospital ,but the hospital still lacks all basic facilities and required equipment’.
2 Jagti camp comprises of twenty thousand people be granted and declared notified area.
3 All Relief Holders and low paid Pensioners be declared Economically Weaker Section people.
4, Establishing up of an ITI institute in Jagti camp.
5, No power cuts in the Jagt camp
6, Police Naka points at the entrance and exit of the camp.
7.Though Jagti camp is having a big play ground but no sports activities have been initiated by the govt to explore the hidden talent of the youth of the camp.
8.Parks should be developed and beautified and some persons be engaged to regularly maintain the parks in the camp.
9, Proper sanitization in a week in the camp.
10, Implementation of social welfare schemes to physically challenged people and widows.
Others who spoke and participated in the meeting include Pyri Lal, Roshan Lal Bhat, Ramesh Kumar, Avtar Krishen, Ajay ji, Chuni Lal, etc
