Sanjay Raina, renowned scholar explains Maha Ragnya Rahasya threadbare and the importance of Jeshth Ashtami for Kashmiri Pandits

Jammu, June 08, 2022: The Right News #TRN in its series of ancient religious places of Kashmir talked to renowned Scholar on Tradition and Practices of Kashmiri Pandit ritual structure and a keen researcher on Kashmir Trika Parampara, Sanjay Raina, to know more about the actual story or Rahasya of Mata Kheer Bhawani.

Here Sanjay Raina explains in detail about the Mata Ragnya in conversation with Bharati Kaul and begins with the explanation of why Mata Ragnya is also known as Shyama and other names.

Sanjay Raina quotes extensively from the ancient holy scriptures to prove his point and negate all those myths that were deliberately put forth by the scholars with vested interest to discredit rich Hindu culture.

Sanjay Raina also explained how time is calculated in Sanatan Dharam and about Manvantra etc.
He explained that Mata Ragnya existed during Shri Rama’s time and these things have been clearly explained in our Puranas’ as well as Neel Mata Purana which are actually the history books of Hindu /Sanatan Dharma.

He says that successive intellectuals with a vested interest particularly under the influence of Macauley Education system have always tried to present our ancient religious books as myths.
Explaining about the connection with Shyama and Ragnya he takes us down the ancient history related to King
Ravana and Sri Lanka.

He explains how Ravana goes for extreme meditation to get special Vardaan so that he can continue ruling Sri Lanka till eternity and thus Mata came in the Shyama Roopa and gives Vardaan to Ravana to rule Sri Lanka till eternity.

However, Lord Shiva had already told father of Ravana that even after such Vardaan Ravana cannot rule for eternity and will cease to exist after Vishnu takes Avataar as Lord Rama adding since Rama would be much more dedicated devotee of Mata Aghori (Shyama) hence Ravana cannot rule till eternity.

He further explains how Ravana intends to kill Rama for sacrifice under the guise of Pooja of Mata Shyama but Mata who was Tamoguni says ‘Iti’ (Stop) and asks Rama to ask his Prime Servant Hanuman to take her to her original abode of Sati Desh which is Kashmir earlier named as Satisar.

Mata Shyama who was now fed up of Tamogun shifted to Kashmir on the shoulders of Hanuman alongwith 360
Nagas. But now after reaching Sati Desh she shunned the Tamogun and adopted Satogun and adopted the form of Bhooteshwari, Ragnya, the protector of humans.

He further explains how Mata Ragnya wanted to visit the entire Sati Desh and that is why she visited Vishnupaad
(Kounsar Nag), Manzgam, Khanbaran, Anantnag, Tikkarm, Baramulla etc and finally settling at Tulmula.

He also explained that the entire route of Mata’s travelogue to all the fifteen places if connected with dots
represents the Shardha OmKaar.
