J&K sees marginal rise in fresh cases
The Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed marginal rise in new COVID cases as 32 people found positive across the Union Territory.
“With fresh cases the cumulative tally has reached to 4,54,501 while death toll stands at 4,752 in Jammu and Kashmir as no fresh fatality was reported in the last 24 hours,” he said.
“Among fresh cases, 17 cases were reported from the Jammu division, 15 infections were recorded from the Kashmir Valley,” he said.
He added that there are 163 active Covid cases in the Union Territory, while the number of recoveries has reached 4,49,586.
“Today, more than 30 new cases were reported, which slightly higher than the cases reported in last few months,” an official said. He added that the administration has increased surveillance and testing across the UT.
According to the daily Media Bulletin out of 25655875 test results available, 454501samples have tested positive and 25201374 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 10,067 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.
Till date 6559710 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 266 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 163in isolation and 605in home surveillance. Besides, 6553924 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases for today, the Bulletin informs that Jammu reported 17cases, Srinagar reported 10 cases, Baramulla reported 03 cases and Budgam reported 02cases each while as no other district across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir reported any fresh case.
The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K UT Centralised Health Helpline- Toll Free No. 104.In case of emergency, people can avail free ambulance services 24×7 by calling toll free number 108 while as pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialing toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach national helpline by dialing 1075.
