Heat wave continue in Kmr, MeT predict rains
Heat weave to continue in Kashmir valley even as the Meteorological Department forecast of isolated very light rain, traces in Kashmir division and scattered to moderate rain, traces in Jammu division during the next 24 hours.
Kashmir weather, an independent observatory, however said mostly dry weather is expected in the Kashmir region during the next 48 hours. However, a very short shower is possible at one or two places.
He said the people can have a sigh of relief from the present heat wave as there are fair chances of intermittent rainfall from Wednesday-Thursday at most of the places in Kashmir valley which could bring down the maximum temperature across considerably.

Hot weather conditions with humid atmosphere and partially cloudy sky continue in Srinagar. The maximum temperature in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, was recorded at 33.7 degree Celsius against the 29.1 degree Celsius which was 4.6 degree Celsius above normal during this period of the season.
