80.41 % students qualify, girls outshine boys again

Girls out performed boys in the Class 10 exams conducted by the J&K Board of School Education, the results for which were declared on Thursday.

Total 53628 candidates had appeared in the said examination out of which 43123 have been declared qualified constituting 80.41 percent of the total examinees. Out of total examinees, 30011 were Boys and 23617 were Girls. The girls have excelled again by scoring a pass percentage of 83.65 percent against 78.01 pass percent of boys.

“5104 students scored A1 grade, 8727 students got A2 grade, 10067 were awarded B1 grade, 10563 candidates scored B2 grade whereas 7365 students got C1 grade, 1288 students scored C2 grade and 9 students scored D grade,” said the BOSE spokesperson.

He also informed that JKBOSE had given a concession of 30 percent in the syllabi to the students who had to attempt only 70 percent marks from the question paper which was treated as 100 percent for result computation.
Chairman JKBOSE has expressed his satisfaction over the entire examination process. “It is heartening to know that 80.41% students have qualified for this exam through various challenges posed by COVID-19; girls have again outshined boys. I acknowledge the contribution of the entire divisional and district level administrative machinery, whole team of the officers and officials of JKBOSE Jammu Division and teachers who have tirelessly contributed for the flawless conduct of examination followed by cooperation in evaluation. Those students who could not make it this time should try again with revised strategies,” he said.

“Heartiest congratulations to all the students, who have passed JKBOSE class 10th Annual Regular examinations-2022, Summer Zone, Jammu Division. My best wishes to all the students for a bright future. Compliments to their parents, teachers and @Office_JKBoSE,” he said in a tweet.

Secretary JKBOSE also congratulated the successful students and appreciated the cooperation of all the stakeholders for successful completion of this examination process with the declaration of result.

In order to facilitate the access of students to the result gazette, the JKBOSE has made adequate arrangements through various media.

The result is available online on the official website of JKBOSE www.jkbose.nic.in and on www.indiaresults.com as well.

The candidates can also avail SMS facility by sending the text message to 5676750 by typing jkbose10 followed by a space and Roll No. e.g., “ jkbose10 Roll No.”.

Those who don’t have access to Mobile Phones or internet can get their results from their nearest JKBOSE office where the soft copies of result gazettes have been provided.

The result is also available in the offices of the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts for the convenience of the students and general public.

In case of any query regarding this result, the students have been advised to avoid visiting the JKBOSE office Jammu physically.

However, they can email their query at [email protected] citing all the relevant details which shall be addressed after due processing at the earliest possible.

The aggrieved students, if any, can contact their respective schools or the nearest JKBOSE Sub/Branch office.
