ADGP Rana to probe charges against DySP
The government Thursday directed Additional Director General of Police, (Coordination), PHQ, J&K Danesh Rana to probe charges against DySP Nisar Ahmad Khan.
Rana is also directed to complete the enquiry and submit his report to the Home Department within a period of thirty days from the date of issue of the order.
“In terms of Rule 33 of J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, Danesh Rana, IPS, ADGP (Coordination), PHQ, J&K, is hereby appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct an inquiry into the charges framed against Nisar Ahmad Khan, Dy.SP, the then SDPO Sumbal. Further, J. S. Johar, AIG, Training/Policy, PHQ, J&K, shall be the Presenting Officer”, said the order.
Meanwhile unconfirmed reports said that the enquiry has been ordered in wake of the protest and demonstration which was conducted after the death of the 23 year old youth in Pattan area during police action.
