BMO among 20 found absent, salary withheld

As many as 20 medical staff including Block Medical Officer was found absent from their duty at Accidental Hospital (AH) Chowki Choura, Rajouri.

Sources said that a surprise check-up was done by the Directorate of Health Service Jammu at the hospital on Thursday morning. An order has been issued in this regard has been issued by the Director of Health Services Jammu, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman.

“Whereas, during surprise visit of the undersigned at AH Chowki-Choura today on 18.08.2022 at 10:40 AM, the following staff was found absent from duty”, it said.

Those who were found absent include Dr. Ritesh Khullar, BMO Chowki Choura, Dr. Bharti Sarngal, Consultant Ophthalmology, Dr. Ritu Bhagat, Consultant Pathology, Dr. Nitasha Suri, Consultant Gynecologist, Dr. Sairna Tabassum, Consultant ENT, Dr. Meenu Ji Tickoo, Dental Surgeon, Dr. Shivali, Medical Officer (RBSK), Dr. Gurmet Kour, Medical Officer (RBSK) and Dr. Sunlit Pal, Medical Officer (RBSK).

Sariskta Manhas, Senior Staff Nurse, Pinderjeet Kour, Jr. Staff Nurse, Nicihi Nagpal, BAM, Royal Bakshi, BMEO, Meenakshi Sharma, FMPHW, Seems Kumari, FMPHW, Rama Kumari ANM (RBSK), Priya Devi ANM (RBSK), Jawahar Singh, Nursing Orderly, Danish, Nursing Orderly, and Sahin Sharma, Nursing Orderly were also found absent.

Keeping in view the poor Administration of Block Medical Officer Chowki Choura, Dr. Ritesh Khullar I/C BMO Chowki Choura is hereby attached with CMO, Office, Rajouri with immediate effect, and the work of Block Chowki Choura shall be looked after by Dr. Ajay Krishan Pandits, Medical Officer AH Chowki Choura till such time suitable arrangement is made.
