Digital health records, online OPB appointment to become reality soon
The Jammu and Kashmir government is all set to launch JK eSAHAJ electronic system for hospital administration in Jammu and Kashmir.
Once launched, JK eSAHAJ will be the next big digital step in public health in the Union Territory.
A senior official at National Health Mission said that a Union Territory-wide hospital Management information system (MIS) would be launched shortly in public health facilities of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory by Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha.
He said the JK eSAHAJ would bring new transparency to hospital administration.
“Under the JK eSAHAJ, there will be an online booking appointment that will cut the queue at the OPD centers across all the hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added. He further said that there would be an ABDM complaint process in the hospital to ensure the portability of health records.
“Further under the JK eSAHAJ, there will be an e-prescription system which means that patients will get prescriptions as an SMS and a PDF in their phone. At the same time, the patients won’t have to keep hoard bulky medical record papers as under the JK eSAHAJ there will be digitalized health records”, he said.
The official further said that there is already a JK Esahaj app for doctors and pharmacists. “Based on the app, the National Health Mission has ranked District Hospitals (DH), Associated Hospitals, Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centers (CHCs) based on performance in JK eSAHAJ, “he added.
Based on the performance in the JK eSAHAJ app, the top five District Hospitals are DH Shopian, DH Pulwama, DH Poonch, DH Ganderbal, and JLNM Srinagar. Based on the performance in the JK eSAHAJ app, the bottom five performing District Hospitals are DH Udhampur, DH Ramban, DH Samba, Govt Hospital, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, and DH Kishtwar.
The top five Associated Hospitals based on performance in JK eSAHAJ are GMC Anantnag, GMC Rajouri, Govt LD Hospital Srinagar, GB Pant Hospital Srinagar, and GMC DODA. The bottom five performing Associated Hospitals based on performance in JK eSAHAJ are GMC Baramulla, GMC Kathua, MCH Anantnag, Psychiatric Disease Hospital Jammu, and Chest Disease Hospital Jammu.
The top five CHCs based on performance in JK eSAHAJ are CHC Tral Pulwama, CHC Pampore Pulwama, CHC Seer, Anantnag, EH Qazigund, Kulgam, and CHC Tangdar, Kupwara. The bottom five CHCs based on performance in JK eSAHAJ are CHC Kupwara, CHC Gandoh, Doda, CHC Banihal, Ramban, CHC Taryath, Rajouri, and CHC Kotbalwal.
The top five performing PHCs based on performance in JK eSAHAJ are UPHC Hazratbal, Srinagar, UPHC Batamaloo, Srinagar, UPHC SR Gunj, Srinagar, PHC Mattan, Anantnag, and PHC Dangiwacha, Baramulla.
The lowest performing PHCs based on performance in JK eSAHAJ are PHC Sagam Anantnag, PHC Tujar, Baramulla, PHC Lassipora, Budgam, PHC Beribagh, Kulgam, PHC Khawas, Rajouri, PHC Bertipora, Shopian, PHC Panchari, Udhampur, PHC Bhugtrain Udhampur, and PHC Gharrian Udhampur.
