Sensex rises 450 points; Nifty up by 119 points

The Sensex and the Nifty opened on a positive note this morning.

When the market opened, the Sensex rose 450 points at 59510, while Nifty rose by 119 points at 17752.

Shree Cements, Metropolis and JK Cement rose when the market opened this morning, while Interglobe Aviation, Zee Entertainment, and Godrej Consumer slipped.

Most of the Asian bourses, including Nikkei 225, Taiwan Weighted, KOSPI and Straits Times opened in a green.
