BJP announces former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb as the party’s candidate for Rajya Sabha bypoll

BJP has announced the name of Former Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb as the party’s candidate for Rajya Sabha bypoll from Tripura.

The Rajya Sabha seat is vacant due to the resignation of Dr. Manik Saha who was appointed as Chief Minister of the state and was later elected to Tripura Assembly.

The last date for filing nominations is Monday. Polling is scheduled to be held on 22nd of this month.
