Sensex climbs 440 points; Nifty advances to 131 points

At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange climbed 440 points, or 0.7 percent, to trade at 60,556, in the afternoon trade at 1:45 pm.

The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange advanced 131 points, or 0.7 percent, to 18,068.
