NIA Court in Kochi remands 11 Popular Front activists arrested in nationwide raid

In Kerala, the NIA Court in Kochi today, September 24, remanded 11 Popular Front activists, arrested during the nationwide raid last Thursday, to seven days in NIA custody.

In its application seeking the custody of the accused, the NIA said some of the documents seized during the raid had revealed a vicious plan by the accused to commit murders for terrorising people of other religious sections, thereby disrupting the sovereignty, security, and social fabric of the country.

It further said that the documents contain highly incriminating materials related to targeting prominent leaders of a particular community.
