CEC, LAHDC Leh inaugurates 2 day workshop for NGOs on Social Welfare Schemes
Chief Executive Councillor Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh, Tashi Gyaltson has said that the administration will audit the working and productivity of NGOs working in the District. He inaugurated a Two-day workshop for NGOs of Leh district on Social Welfare Schemes.

Addressing the representatives of various NGOs operating in Leh district, he said the audit will improve the efficiency and reach. Mr. Tashi appealed to the NGOs to avoid duplication of the works. He complimented the work of NGOs in Leh, despite hardships and funding issues till Ladakh became a Union Territory.
Speaking on the occasion, Ladakh UT Social and Tribal Welfare Secretary Commissioner Padma Angmo said there is scope for NGOs to work on accessibility and de-addiction fields. She assured support to the NGOs working in these sectors. She informed that UT is launching an exclusive helpline for the welfare of senior citizens in Ladakh.
LAHDC Deputy Chairman Tashi Angchuk, Leh Deputy Commissioner Shrikant Suse and District Social Welfare Officer Nilza Angmo also present in the workshop. In the two-day workshop, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of Minority Affairs also will participate to explain various schemes of their respective ministries available for NGOs to work.
