Union minister Dr Virendra Kumar says PM Modi is sensitive toward cause of the country’s Divyangjans
Union minister for social justice and empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very sensitive towards the cause of the country’s Divyangjans.
Briefing the media near Odisha capital Bhubaneswar on the sidelines of an event in the Swami Vivekananda National Institute of Rehabilitation Training And Research (SV-NIRTAR)) today, the minister said the Aatmanirbhar Bharat idea of the prime minister includes the contribution of the divyangs to the country’s progress.
Accordingly, the govt has taken significant initiatives like improving the reservation facilities for the divyangs in govt jobs, their skill development, and empowerment.
Speaking in the context of Odisha, he said since the state has a rich variety of art and handicrafts, the divyangjans can be gainfully skilled on that front as well. The minister said that when a divyang is empowered, it not only benefits him or her but also his/her family and the society at large.
