Home Minister Amit Shah to begin three-day visit to J&K from today

In Jammu and Kashmir, Security has been stepped up across the Union Territory in view of Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit commencing today, October 3.

Additional troops are being deployed on National highways and vital road links in Srinagar, Baramulla, Rajouri, and other parts of the Union Territory.

Sources said that the Home Minister is scheduled to address public rallies at Rajouri and Baramulla on October 4 and 5 respectively.

Mr. Shah will arrive in Jammu late in the afternoon today. He is likely to chair a high level security review meeting in Srinagar in the afternoon of October 5 before flying back to New Delhi.
