Flagship schemes in J&K 8 L children benefited under MDM
As many as 7, 97,729 children have benefited under the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme in Jammu and Kashmir.
At the same time, 115 smart city projects have been completed and 31,174 smartphones have been procured under Integrated Child Development Services – Common Application Software. These are some of the work that has been completed under the flagship schemes in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
As per the details, 21,902 schools and 8106.87 Metric Tons of food grains have been covered under Mid Dal Meal. Further, 28,426 Growth Monitoring Devices (GMDs) have been procured under the POSHAN Abhiyan scheme.
Also, 22,968 beneficiaries have been enrolled under PM Matru Vandana Yojana. 17436 beneficiaries have been enrolled under PM Matru Vandana Yojana.

Further, against the target of 14, 067 under Himayat Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, over 3,068 youth have been trained. Regarding the placement under Himayat, against the target of 9847, as many as 1,722 placements have been achieved.
The details further read that under the flagship programme, 265 smarty city projects have been sanctioned, out of which 115 stand completed.
Regarding the single-use plastic use in Jammu and Kashmir, the details state that waste to wealth project is being set up at Achen. While 816.65 Kgs single-use plastic and 11,297.85 Kgs illegal polythene have been seized by Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Board and cases compounded for Rs 92,400.00.
Further, under the Day- NRLM a poverty relief programme of the Central government, over 2838 Self Help Groups and 248 village organizations have been formed in Jammu and Kashmir. Whereas, 7502 number of Self Help Group revolving funds is 7502 and community investment fund is 2197 and the bank lineage is 7000. Also under the Jal Jeevan Mission, as many as 10.63 Lacs rural houses have Functional Household Tap Connections.
