Kharge vs Tharoor Face-off: Polling begins to elect new Congress President

The polling for election of a new Congress President is underway. The voting began at 10 AM and will continue upto 4 PM. Party interim President Sonia Gandhi, General Secretary Priyanka Vadra, MPs P Chidambaram, Jairam Ramesh, and other leaders cast their votes at the AICC headquarters in New Delhi. Party leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor are in the fray for the top party post.

Electors in the Congress presidential polls have been asked to put a tick mark against the name of their choice on the ballot paper. The counting of votes will be taken up on Wednesday and the results will be declared the same day.
