Kargil: Srinagar-Leh highway re-opens after one-day closure

In Kargil, the strategic 434Km Srinagar-Leh highway was re-opened for traffic on Friday after remaining closed for one day.

As per reports the highway was closed yesterday due to Fresh Snowfall at Several places of Zojila Pass including Bajri Nallah, Shaitani Nallah, Sonamarg, Gagangeer, Kullan and Gund following which the road was closed as a precautionary measure.

Vehicles were allowed to move on the 434-kilometer road with the improvement in weather today.
