Farmers’ welfare top priority of present dispensation: Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje

Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shobha Karandlaje took part in a series of events and activities during the extensive public outreach programme in Baramulla yesterday. She is on a two-day visit to Baramulla.

The Union Minister said, farmers welfare is among the top priority of the present dispensation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. She affirmed that all requests, issues and grievances projected have been noted and would be taken up at union level and with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for redressal.

She assured the representatives of timely resolution of their issues and said that the Union Government is actively working for the development of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.

Union Minister said that food processing units will be established in PPP mode to boost the growth of agriculture market in the Union Territory.
