PM Modi to inaugurate terminal two of Bengaluru Kempegowda Airport on Friday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate terminal two of Kempegowda International Airport at Bengaluru on Friday. It has been built at a cost of around five thousand crore rupees.  With the inauguration of terminal two, passenger handling capacity as well as counters for check-in and immigration will double.

It will also be able to handle around five to six crore passengers annually which is at present 2.5 crore. The terminal is designed as a tribute to the Garden city of Bengaluru and the passenger experience is meant to be a walk in the garden. Passengers will travel through 10 thousand square meters of green walls, hanging gardens and outdoor gardens. These gardens have been made in India using indigenous technology.

This airport has already established a benchmark in sustainability with 100 percent usage of renewable energy across the campus.
