The Sensex and the Nifty today extended gains for seventh session in row to hit life time high level in the afternoon trade.

Both indices logged modest gains amid positive cues from global share markets. The Sensex was trading above 62,750 while the Nifty was trading above 18,650 points.

The Sensex rose 81 points to trade at 62,763. The Nifty also added 41 points to trade at 18,659.
