PM to dedicate three national Ayush institutes to nation on Dec 10

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate three national Ayush institutes to the nation on Sunday at the 9th World Ayurveda Congress in Goa.  Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal  informed this.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the Minister said, inauguration of three institutes is a step towards fulfilling Prime Minister’s vision of expansion of infrastructure and promotion of research in the traditional medical system.

He added that through these institutes the government will further strengthen its capabilities to provide affordable healthcare to every citizen and every region of the country. The Minister said these institutes will also help in creation of tertiary level healthcare infrastructure in the country. The three institutes include, All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIA) in Goa, National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM) in Ghaziabad and National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH) in Delhi.

These satellite institutes will further strengthen the research, international collaborations and facilitate affordable Ayush services for the larger community.  The three National Ayush institutes will create 400 additional seats for 400 students, who want to pursue UG, PG and Doctoral courses and also add 550 additional beds in these three streams.
