Indus Towers to provide digital literacy course to 50 J&K Police martyr’s wards
Graduates will also be put in touch with potential employers for placements
Indus Towers Limited, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, in partnership with the Impact Guru Foundation- a not-for-profit education society created to have a positive impact on society will offer Digital Literacy Lessons to 50 J&K Police martyrs’ wards.
The initiative was inaugurated by the Hon’ble, Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, as Chief Guest along with the Guest of Honour Shri. Dilbag Singh, DGP, Jammu & Kashmir.
Indus Towers’ Digital Literacy programme is aimed at making beneficiaries digitally literate by equipping them with IT and employability skills that will help them earn a sustainable livelihood. Successful candidates will qualify for entry level jobs as data managers, secretaries, receptionists, and administrators. The support of connecting the beneficiaries with potential employers for placements will also be offered as part of this course.

We’re grateful to the J&K Police department for providing not only the training facility at the locations but also, the basic amenities of electricity, water, tables and chairs to seamlessly execute the programme. Beneficiaries will not only undergo through Digital Training and education, they will also be exposed to career development skills.

J&K Police martyrs made the supreme sacrifice and hence, it’s our duty to support their families by giving them the means to earn a dignified and sustainable livelihood.”
Indus Towers programme will become sustainable over the long run applying a four-pronged strategy which includes: the establishment of the centre in a safe and accessible location as per the guidance from J&K Police Department, the employment of community development workers who would reach out to and recommend deserving beneficiaries, engaging beneficiaries by creating a learning environment conducive to intellectual growth, and enlisting the support of potential employers in. granting jobs to those who complete the course. Identified Candidates are above 18 years of age and have minimum education qualification as class 10h. The classes will be held for 30 days for 6 hours per day. indus TOWERS
