Sensex declines 263 points, Nifty trades below 17,860

The Sensex and the Nifty were trading half a percent down in afternoon trade.

Sensex, the index of top 30 companies at the Bombay Stock Exchange, was trading below 60,800 points, and the Nifty, the index of top 50 companies at the National Stock Exchange, near 17,850 level. Both stocks fell amid mixed global cues.

The Sensex declined 263 points to trade at 60,739. The Nifty-50 also slipped 91 points to trade at 17,853, when reports last came in.
