Centre approves renaming Aurangabad to Chatrapati Sambhajinagar & Osmnabad to Dharashiv in Maharashtra

After receiving the no-objection letter from the Union Home Ministry, the Government of Maharashtra immediately issued the notification to change the name of Aurangabad city to Chatrapati Sambhajinagar and Osmnabad city to Dharashiv.

People of both cities welcomed the decision of the Union and state government. Change of the name of both cities was a long-time demand.
