23 ReT teachers terminated for submitting qualifications from un-recognized boards
The Directorate of School Education Jammu has suspended as many as 23 Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers for submitting qualification certificates acquired from un-recognized boards.
Out of the 23 suspended ReT teacher, 17 have acquired qualification from Bharatiya Shiksha Parisad, Uttar Pradesh, 4 from Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and one each from All India Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Bharat, Gwalior.
The suspended teachers had acquired their qualifcations from the boards which have not been granted equivalence by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education, Jammu.
Reports suggest that a meeting was held over the ReT teachers verification earlier this month in the office chamber of Joint Director (JSK) Range.
An order, in this regard has been issued by Dr. Ravi Sharma, Director School Education, Jammu.
Referring to the minutes of meetings, DSEJ addressing to the Chief Education Offcer, Jammu, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar and Rajouri.

Order No. 181-DSEJ of 2022 dated 08.06.2022 and 353-DSEJ of 2022 dated 18.08.2022, a committee was constituted to review the pending regularization cases of RETs.
The committee member in meeting held on 7-2-20231 observed that23RETs of different districts of Jammu Division have acquired their qualification from the Boards which have not been granted equivalence by the J&K Board of School Education, Jammu communicated vide No. F (Acad-C) Recg-equ/21 dated 05.07.2021 as these boards have not been recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE) in India, it reads.
The committee has recommended the termination of services 23 immediately as they do not possess the” requisite qualification certificates. Now, therefore in View of the recommendations of the committee. You are directed to disengage the services of 23 RETS as per immediately under an intimation to this office, the order reads.
Out of 23 suspended teachers, 15 are from Rajouri, one each from Jammu and Kishtwar, two from Reasi and three from Doda.
