Jharkhand By-election: Polling begins for Ramgarh Assembly seat
In Jharkhand, polling began for the By-election to be held today for Ramgarh Assembly seat. Around 3.35 lakh Voters will exercise their right to franchise from morning 7 am to evening 5 pm. 18 candidates are in fray for the Ramgarh Assembly seat.
Polling parties have been stationed at 405 polling centres for the by-election. The counting of votes will be done on March 2. The election was necessitated after disqualification of Mamta Devi as MLA.
The district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for free and fair polling during the by-election.
Meanwhile, the District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner of Ramgarh, Madhavi Mishra has appealed to all the voters to cast their votes without fear. SP Piyush Pandey said that sufficient security forces have been deployed in the constituency.
