Sensex declines 40 points; Nifty climbs up eight points in afternoon trade

The Key domestic share markets were trading almost flat in the afternoon trade. Both indices were trading divergently and in a narrow range even as the cues from global markets were positive.

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange declined 40 points to trade at 57,860. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange was up eight points to trade at 17,051 a short while ago.
