Railways registers highest ever freight loading in FY; PM Modi says good news for commerce, logistics sector

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has applauded the performance of the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

In a tweet, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has informed that Railways has registered the highest ever freight loading in any financial year, with one thousand 512 metric tonnes freight loading in the last financial year.

Responding to this tweet, the Prime Minister termed it as good news for commerce and the logistics sector.

In another tweet, the Prime Minister expressed happiness as the major ports under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways have set new records by exceeding cargo handling targets for the financial year 2022-23, with 10.4 per cent growth.
