Jammu and Kashmir Academy of art Culture and languages to celebrate Mother Tongue Day.

In connection with the international mother tongue day , Jammu and Kashmir Academy of art , Culture and languages to celebrate mother tongue day by organizing various literary and cultural programs on feb.20 here at Abhinav Theatre , Jammu.

Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn,  Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and languages, Divisional Office, Jammu on the behalf of Secretary JKAACL  Munir -ul- Islam, while briefing to the media said that  Mother language Day is a worldwide annual observance held on 21st  February to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism.

He further said that the aim of Academy is also to promote all the languages spoken in the J&K U.T  like Dogri , Kashmir, Urdu ,Punjabi, Hindi Gojri and Pahari etc. In view of the Mother tongue Day the Academy is going to organize the various literary and Cultural programmes. Which include Composite Mushaira in  Dogri , Kashmiri, Gojri ,Punjabi and Pahari languages besides musical programs in these languages.

Dr. Sudhir Mahajan Sr. Drama instructor of JKAACL while interacting with the media also disclosed that these cultural and literary programme are being organized on 20th  Feb. 2021

at Abhinav Theatre ,Jammu  from 12:00. noon onwards. All the writers , artists , poets , social , cultural activists and mother tongue lovers besides the general public are invited to witness and be a part of celebrations of multi- linguistic and cultural diversity of the J&K,UT.
