KONGPOSH GOES VIRTUAL AMID COVID CONCERNS

Amid concerns of COVID 19 second wave in jammu, Kongposh kashmiri musical group goes virtual with its mehndiraat performances. Marriage functions have been in halt since 21st march 2020, when the nationwide lockdown was announced by the government. Even after the restrictions were relaxed, marriage celebrations have been subdued due to restrictions on number of allowed participants.

Kongposh koshur musical group has been a pioneer in the kashmiri mehndiraat performances. In line with the trend all over the world , Kongposh is performing virtually for its audience. The response from audience has been positive and appreciative. In conversation with us, members of the audience responded that although virtual performances cannot replace in-person performances but its a means to keep their culture alive in these tough times.
