Ladakh and Kishtwar experience mild tremors
Ladakh and Chenab Valley witnessed two mild-intensity earthquakes on Tuesday.
The epicenters of the two quakes were in Leh and Kishtwar districts.
The National Centre of Seismology (NCS) reported a 4.5 magnitude earthquake in Ladakh at 4:33 am.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of five kilometers below the earth’s surface, positioned at 34.73 degrees latitude and 77.07 degrees longitude.
Police said that there were no reports of damage from any location.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 was recorded at 1:10 am in Kishtwar district. The quake’s depth was five kilometers below the surface, located at 33.36 degrees latitude and 76.67 degrees longitude, according to the NCS.
