Union Minister says, out of 18 crore gas connections released since 2014, 10 crore are under Ujjwala Yojana

Union Minister of Housing, Urban Affairs, Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri today observed that most schemes of the union government is aimed at empowering women. He was inaugurating the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Mankara Panchayat in Palakkad district today.

The Minister said that out of 18 crore gas connections released since 2014, 10 crore are under Ujjwala Yojana. He said the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aims to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reached all sections of the society.
