Security forces in J&K detected and defused two explosive devices in Kathua district

Security forces today detected and defused two explosive devices in Kathua district.

Locals informed the police and the Border Security Force (BSF) about some suspicious material packed in a polythene bag in the Sherpur area of Hiranagar tehsil, around 2 kilometers away from the International Border.

Security personnel and a bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot. The explosive devices were defused safely. Additional SP Kathua Paramjit Singh told the media that the IEDs were hidden near a bridge.
