Dead body of woman recovered in Ganderbal

Police registered a case after the dead body of a middle-aged woman was found in Ganderbal district on Friday.

The body was recovered by locals and police from the Power Canal near the Haknar Gund area of Kangan.

 Police identified the deceased as Haseena Begum, an Anganwari worker by profession.

 Local sources said that the victim had gone to market and probably slipped and fell into the water canal.

 After the autopsy, police registered a case to investigate the matter. [KNT]
