17-year-old boy dies in Srinagar road accident

A 17-year-old boy died in a road accident after the Scooty he was riding was hit by a vehicle near Lasjan Bridge at Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar outskirt.

 The victim identified as Ashiq Hussain Hajam, a resident of Nilnag Gogjipathri Budgam was working at a baker’s shop in Mehjoor Nagar Srinagar.

 Local sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the victim on his way to Pantha Chowk from Mehjoor Nagar on his Scooty suffered grievous injuries after being hit by a vehicle. He was taken to SMHS Hospital Srinagar where doctors declared him dead.

 Police registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard. [KNT]
