Tarun Vijay lauds Manoj Sinha for Baba Banda Bahadur Ghat on Chenab
Jammu- Reasi-Appreciating the herculean efforts of Lt Governor , J& K Shri Manoj Sinha former MP and Chairman Uttarakhand War Memorial Shri Tarun Vijay said that the Ghat on Chenab river in memory of great Sikh warrior Baba Banda Singh Bahadur has created histiory in tha annals of tha state.

He said that Shri Sinha is the first head of J&K who visited the Tapasthali of Baba Banda Bahadur Singh in Reasi on his invitation two years ago amidst heavy rains and promised a ghat on Chenab in memory of the incredible warrior , originally a Dogra Rajput from J&K, who became Sikh , blessed by Guru Govind Singh ji Maharaj. He organised an army and defeated mughals freeing Punjab from the clutches of savage moghuls. He also took revenge of the martyrdom of the two Sahibzadas by killing Wazir Khan in the battle of Chappar Chiri,.
He said that Shri Manoj Sinha has proved through this action that he has the respect for India’s great warriors on top of his mind. He said that when Shri Sinha visited the Reasi gurudwara of Baba Banda Singh Tapasthali, everyone was amazed that he came inspite of heavy rains making it very difficult for the helicopter to fly and land.
But as a true ‘warrior’ himself, Shri Sinha fulfilled his promise to Shri Tarun Vijay and assured Revered Baba Jatinderpal Singh Sodhi, the 10th descendant of Baba Banda Bahadur Singh that govt of J&K will create a museum in Baba Banda Bahadur’s memory and also erect a Ghat on Chenab bearing his name.
The ghat work has started and now the entire patriotic community, specially the Sanatanis and Sikhs hope that the work on Baba Banda Bahadur museum will also start very soon.
