Young man dies after coming under a landslide

A young man was buried and died instantly after coming under a landslide in the Charisharief area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday late night.

An official said that Ishfaq Ahmad Khatana, 27, son of Shabir Ahmad, a resident of Bajpathri Watakullo Charisharief, was extracting soil at Bajpathri Charisharief Budgam when the landslide occurred.

 He said the body of Ishfaq Ahmad was retrieved from the debris shortly after the incident.

 Police took cognizance of the incident and registered a case. [KNT]
