Former Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the United States of America.
A 1988 batch IFS officer, Mr. Kwatra is expected to take up the assignment shortly. The post was vacant after the retirement of the then Ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu.
