Arjun Erigaisi Wins WR Chess Masters Cup

India’s Arjun Erigaisi has won the WR Chess Masters Cup after defeating Maxime Vachier-Lagrave in the finals at London yesterday.

After two drawn classical games, Arjun kept his composure under time pressure and won with black in the tiebreaker. By winning this 16-player knockout tournament, Arjun is now leading the FIDE Circuit. He will next compete in the European Chess Club Cup, starting this Sunday in Serbia.
