Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Gulmarg headed by SHO Police Station Gulmarg at a checkpoint established at GEP Gulmarg, intercepted a person identified as Fazil Beigh son of Parvaiz Beigh resident of Lateefabad Kandi. During the search, 25 grams of contraband charas like substances was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody.
According to the Associated News Bureau (ANB), a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Gulmarg and investigation has been initiated.

People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law. (ANB)
