Police crackdown against Illegal miners, other anti-social elements in Bandipora

 Police in Bandipora during the current month have arrested 05 drug peddlers and recovered 3.5 Kgs of Charas Powder, 20 bottles of Codeine Phosphate from them, besides seized 07 vehicles carrying  illegal mining material and also arrested 04 gamblers at different places in the district.

According to the Associated News Bureau (ANB), moreover, three bank accounts of a notorious drug peddler were also freezed under NDPS Act having savings of more than 05 lakhs acquired through sale of narcotics substances in case FIR No.174/2024 of PS Sumbal.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding any illegal activities in their neighbourhood to the nearest police station. (ANB)
