Trio arrest on murder charges, Vehicle seized

Jammu Police have arrested three individuals involved in an attempted murder case reported in the Kanachak area.

The police said that a complaint was lodged on December 5 this month, at Police Station Kanachak by Ajay Kumar of Pandorian, Jammu North. Kumar alleged that he was attacked by three assailants — Paramjeet Singh alias Pamma, Joginder Lal alias Jinder, and Balvinder Kumar alias Balu. The accused, armed with a toka (sharp weapon) and a lathi (baton), inflicted severe injuries on the complainant, who was subsequently admitted to GMC Jammu for treatment.
Police after registering a case formed a special team. After multiple raids, the police apprehended all three suspects.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in the crime. Based on their disclosures, the police recovered the weapons used in the assault. The Safari vehicle (JK02AR-0024) used in the attack was also seized as evidence.
Police said that further investigations are underway to explore additional angles in the case. [KNT]
